During the warmer months, take advantage of Echo Lake by either renting a canoe, paddleboat, or just sitting on the lake’s sandy beach and taking in the scenery of the surrounding mountains.
Franconia is a town in New Hampshire. It contains part of Franconia Notch State Park, in the White Mountain National Forest. In the park, Cannon Mountain features a ski area and an aerial tramway. At the tramway base, the New England Ski Museum traces the sport’s history. Nearby, Echo Lake has mountain views and a beach. In town, poet Robert Frost’s former home, the Frost Place, is now a museum.
